The dive
The dive
Standing before you is a pool, glassy topped with tension and anticipation
It begs the question “will you dive in?”
Energy vibrates through you, asking the same question
You dip a toe in, tiny ripples disrupt the still water
Warning signs flash in your brain, how can you indulge if it agitates the world around you?
Everyone tells you to get out before it’s too late but the pool itself urges you forward, you can’t turn back
Another step down, another step down, water lapping and engulfing you
Waist deep, feet grounded, you step forward again
Do you get out now and risk being drenched and noticeably shaken?
You can’t go back, just to search for consumption in other things
Your feet lift and you push ahead, arms and legs and muscles treading roughly in uncharted waters
Will you drown? You want to do more than just float
